So put on your baseball caps and let’s check out all the amazing style personalities on this week’s edition, shall we?
Bonnie Beats is Tomboy Tarts’ favourite female DJ now. Besides having a swanky personal style of her own (check out her outfit of the day on Edition #2) but her mixes are dope! She was also our featured artiste on our Tomboy Musicians Series. She’s played alongside The Smith’s Andy Rourke (whoa!) and named one of Miami’s “Top 10 Female DJs”. Not bad for a tech nerd turned – tastemaker – turned – super talent, super DJ and super music producer. Here, she takes on the colourful vibes of Miami with some serious tropical casual. Printed blouse with berms, sneaks and baseball cap. It’s tomboy andro-chic Miami style. You can find out more about Bonnie from her website or follow her on Instagram. To hear Bonnie’s dope beats, head to her Soundcloud site. We promise – it’s really good stuff!
Jocelyn Villatoro or @JoeVillatoro is a tomboy who keeps it street easy on her tomboy style. In this outfit of the day above, she keeps it relaxed with red and black sneaks, ripped fitted jeans, stripy tee and black baseball cap. It’s cool classic 70s tomboy. She loves shoes and has a huge collection. Just watch her confession in her ‘About Me’ video on YouTube.
@iamninineb is a private account on Instagram but her tomboy styled outfit of the day is crocodile rocking! This 70s inspired Elton John-ish pose comes with a multi-coloured beach bag with turtle-neck motif top paired with palazzo jeans and comfy loafers. An amazing classic tomboy look that will give Elton and his stylist a run for their money.
We Love Street Fashion is a Thai-born vintage fashion brand that is really breaking the boundaries of women’s fashion with their fresh and fun take on classics. From jumper suits as seen here to overalls and jeans, the brand seems to have a great way of combining Thai fashion design sensibilities with simple Western inspirations. Definitely a brand that’s doing inspiring tomboy style the right way!
